It was perishing this morning - especially heading into the wind. And it's getting colder: chances of an after-work run this week? Minimal.
But this morning was just about ok - felt every draught blowing up sleeves, down neck, up fleece... was very glad of gloves.
So it was the normal route around the downs, but I have misgivings about my little cross-country bit - is this in fact fairy wood? I prefer to think not as I often see them gathering at a different part of the downs when I cycle to work of a morning. But now the council's cleared a lot of the undergrowth they've had to go elsewhere which might be my cross-country part. But I haven't seen anyone there yet so perhaps they've gone further afield. Bit too chilly for that sort of shenanigans I would have thought.
I was very glad I went running even though it was difficult to get out of the house - but that's usually the way - I have to convince myself (remind myself even) that I never regret going for a run. Except on the occasion I tripped over the kerb and ended up with a bleeding knee and a twisted ankle and had to walk all the way home. Not a good look.
So nothing exceptional to report about this run - oh, except the ipod radio thing seems to work really well on the downs. Which meant I could be a sad beggar and listen to the Archers omnibus. How lame, when I have over 1000 songs to listen to... Each to their own.
